• Demolishing and removal of existing asphalt. • All paving, excavating, and grading as required. The parking lot shall not have areas of puddles. • Compact subgrade to a minimum of 95% • 4” Crushed rock (top course) and all other bedding, compaction, and sterilization required. • Removal of any sod and complete preparation of areas to be paved. • Any required saw cutting. • Minimum 3” inches of plant mix HMA. It shall be smooth with little aggregate that will trap ice, snow, or water. • All soft and spongy places shall be removed, and all depressions shall be filled with suitable material. Material shall be thoroughly compacted in lifts not exceeding 6.” • According to the plans, a new rain leader will be installed in the parking lot's dry well. The general and the paving contractor will coordinate to complete this work. • Striping of new parking spaces should be included in this process • One ADA space will be required • For the purpose of the bid, also include five spaces with “Reserved” painted on them • Paint should be white • Layout of spaces (TBD)
