Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work includes but is not limited to: Approximately 66,172 GSF of existing building to undergo modernization; 6,676 GSF of new additions; 2,757 SF of exterior covered areas. Existing school is a 1-story, concrete tilt-wall main building which received an addition to the poured-in-place concrete gymnasium in 1994. The proposed new building additions include a new administration area with an exterior columned entry pavilion and cross-laminated timber (CLT) canopy, a 2-classroom and office addition, an expansion of 2 existing classrooms, and a new electrical distribution room. The areas of significant interior alteration include conversion of the existing administration area into new classrooms, staff work area and 3 new single-use restrooms. Upgrades will take place in the existing Band/Music rooms, Gymnasium, Choir and Stage/Platform in the Commons, Library, Kitchen, and the existing classrooms. All spaces will receive new suspended grids and acoustic tile ceilings. Remaining existing spaces will receive finish upgrades, new fixtures and finishes in the existing restrooms. Existing spaces will receive new or upgraded electrical and mechanical systems. Gym will receive a new exterior steel canopy, and include an Alternate bid enhancement to the existing north elevation to include new punched openings for added interior light, polycarbonate panels and cladding. Other existing exterior concrete walls will receive new accent siding at key locations and new paint at existing walls. Entire building will receive a new membrane roof and new metal coping caps. Site work includes revisions and upgrades to exterior paving approaches, new plantings/landscaping directly adjacent to the primary and secondary building entries, and re-configuring the existing drive lane and sidewalk at building-front. Widened fire access route and upgrades to the building water design system are also included.
