Maintenance, Inspection, and Testing of the Electrical Power Distribution System at American Lake VA Medical Center

Summary of Work:Contractors shall immediately report critical or catastrophic deficiencies to the Contracting Officer and Chief of Facilities Management/Engineering Service for immediate action. Work items, definitions, and references must comply with the latest NETA – Maintenance Testing Specifications (MTS) and the VHA Directive on Electrical Power Distribution Systems. The following electrical equipment shall be maintained and tested:

1. Switchgear and Switchboard Assemblies

2. Dry Type, Air-Cooled, Low-voltage, Small Transformers

3. Dry Type, Air-Cooled, Low-voltage, Large Transformers

4. Liquid-Filled Transformers

5. Metal-Enclosed Busways

6. Low-Voltage Air Switches

7. Medium-Voltage, Metal-Enclosed Air Switches

8. Medium-Voltage Oil Switches

9. Medium-Voltage Vacuum Switches

10. Medium-Voltage SF6 Switches

11. Insulated-Case/Molded-Case Air Circuit Breakers

12. Low-Voltage Power Air Circuit Breakers

13. Air Medium-Voltage Circuit Breakers

14. Medium and High-Voltage Oil Circuit Breakers

15. Vacuum Medium-Voltage Circuit Breakers

16. SF6 Circuit Breakers

17. Mechanical and Solid-State Protective Relays

18. Microprocessor-Based Protective Relays

19. Grounding Systems

20. Ground-fault Protection Systems

21. Low-Voltage Motor Control and Starters

22. Medium-Voltage Motor Control and Starters

23. Engine Generators for Emergency Systems
