Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is initiating this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit proposals from Consultants interested in participating on a project to deliver, through the Superintendent’s National Board Certification Program, ongoing and relevant communication within regional areas regarding outreach for National Board Certification. The Contractor shall further provide technical expertise regarding National Board Certification in specific ongoing projects identified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) program director or Superintendent’s designee. Contractor shall also support the ongoing efforts of the OSPI National Board Certification Facilitator Training and Conditional Loan programs, as applicable. 1. Serve as regional liaison and advocate with school districts, Educational Service Districts (ESDs), local education associations and other public schools, including all identified OSPI support providers about their promotion and support of National Board Certification, particularly in schools on OSPI’s list of high poverty schools. 2. Serve as liaison and advocate with teachers interested in pursuing National Board Certification, focusing on diversifying National Board candidates and the NBCT workforce, and promoting accomplished teaching for students with disabilities, students of color, students experiencing poverty, and students learning the English language. 3. Coordinate and support regional outreach and mobilization efforts for understanding and recognizing the impact on student learning through National Board Certification. 4. Attend any meetings and appointments OSPI indicates pertinent to project efforts including, but not limited to: a. Up to ten (10) Regional Coordinator meetings b. Co-plan or co-present at least two (2) Facilitator and/or Candidate Support Webinars c. At least two (2) cohort facilitator meetings within the assigned region to support and represent OSPI and Washington’s National Board Network partners d. Regional candidate information sessions and network partner-led seminars, as requested e. Projects may require additional collaboration outside of regularly scheduled meetings
