Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Firm will be responsible for providing outreach and follow-up services addressing the barriers and individual needs identified through assessment, support, connecting to resources, advocacy, system navigation, identification of system gaps and engaging community to fill those gaps. The Firm will work with individuals who are experiencing community struggles while engaged with the Municipal Criminal Justice System, offer support to access resources and help navigating systems that might appear as road blocks to connecting and receiving necessary basic living supports. This will include working with multicultural individuals and other diverse populations. The Firm will provide information about services, provide practical supports, assist in filling out forms, and provide advocacy. Firm will also foster social supports by connecting individuals to social outreach centers and other community resources to increase their social service and prosocial connections. The Firm will maintain contact with participants, provide court date reminders, coordinate transportation for court required appointments, assist with remote (Zoom) court appearances and public defender appointments, and/or accompany them to court appearances and other court related appointments, when necessary. Specific Responsibilities include the following: • Working collaboratively with relevant government agencies, including but not limited to Community Justice Services Pretrial Services Unit (PSU) and City and County public defenders to help identify eligible clients and raise awareness of value of the program with defense counsel. • Assisting participants in achieving the case management goals developed by the PSU. Case management goals may include, but not be limited to the provision of services or referral to services such as housing, behavioral health treatment, public benefits, vocational and educational services, transportation, and civil legal aid.
