The purpose of this contract is to assist the Teacher and Principal Evaluation Program (TPEP) in implementing professional development designed to strengthen principal mentors statewide. The Contractor shall ensure novice principals and assistant principals receive robust mentoring that supports their growth and retention from trained mentors. The Contractor shall also assist in creating a Leaders of Color Network (LOCNET) and providing regional support to principals and assistant principals statewide. To implement this work, the Contractor will do the following: • Provide Principal/Assistant Principal Mentoring Pairing and Grant Support • Develop and facilitate two (2) differentiated Principal/AP Mentor Academies • Provide up to four (4) in-person and/or virtual mentor learning opportunities for mentors • Refine and revise previously used LOCNET content in collaboration with OSPI using feedback from previous participants to conduct up to eight (5) regularly scheduled virtual sessions and (3) in person sessions • Develop a regional principal professional learning community in up to nine (9) Educational Service District (ESD) regions to discuss best practices, current trends, reviewing research and data to best ensure student and staff success. This includes identification and training of up to ninety (90) PLC regional leaders in a ‘Train the Trainer’ model, and convening PLCs at least two (2) times per year in-person or virtually.
