Project goals 1) Develop and design an eminently usable and unique website that will be a 24/7 civil servant, demonstrating transparency – especially financially – and efficiently connecting citizens with the services and information they need. 2) Incorporate the Go Walla Walla (gowallawalla.us) site and the Walla Walla Public Library site (wallawallapubliclibrary.org) into the wallawallawa.gov site. 3) Produce an ADA-compliant, responsive web design that can be viewed on all devices, at all resolutions and on all web browsers. 4) Implement a content management system that integrates seamlessly with social media. 5) Implement a content management system that can be operated by users of all experience levels. 6) Provide site redesign every 5 years or credits toward incremental changes that amount to a complete redesign. 7) Redesign the website with a new look and feel consistent with the branding of the City and that reflects the unique character of Walla Walla. 8) Provide secure, responsive, and helpful technical and user support available via email, chat, and phone during normal business hours and during off-hours in emergency situations. 9) Provide robust calendar and form building functions. 10) Provide mass emailing and texting functionality. 11) Redesign the information architecture to provide improved efficiency and more intuitive navigation. 12) Provide full integration with existing third-party applications and provide the flexibility to integrate future applications. 13) Integrate with our Munis financial software to allow citizens to pay utility bills, permit fees, and other service fees.
