Specifications include, but are not limited to: The L&S Office of Strategic Communications & Advancement seeks a design firm that can provide full-service art direction, graphic design services (including sourcing and procuring professional photography and illustrations, though the University will contract with suppliers separately) and supplemental website design/development consulting and services that will continue the great quality of our current bi-annual print publication and soon-to-be-live magazine microsite. See link to our current publication: https://ls.wisc.edu/lsnews/letters-science-magazine Design will achieve the following: • Showcase the amazing diversity of thought, discovery, culture and ideas that make the College of Letters & Science such a fascinating place to teach and learn • Provide readers with a newsstand-quality publication • Striking covers, innovative use of typography, rich visuals and professional design techniques • Use college-wide brand guidelines but differentiate L&S from broader campus and "On Wisconsin" magazine by focusing less on general nostalgia, campus landmarks, athletics • Provide ongoing consulting and light design/development services where needed, for newly designed WordPress microsite. This site is in design phase now, with a go-live date of January 2023. The print magazine is roughly 36 pages, full color, and published twice yearly (spring and fall). The publication is mailed to roughly 35,000 alumni of L&S. Production, printing and mailing will be handled in-house, via University Marketing services.
