Cushion mount carbide insert blades must use a vibration reducing, shock absorbing mounting system equivalent to Joma 6000 blades. Blades shall be 1.5 Ga. Flat, bolt-on, cushion mount carbide insert blades with a 3-3-12 standard highway punch. Cushion mounted/shock absorbing carbide insert blades are to be used on Monroe, Viking, and Falls municipal grade 12 feet wide snow plows. The tungsten carbide insert shall meet the following specifications: Length: 1” nominal Density: 14.1 (min) to 14.6 (max) gms/cc Width: 0.31” or greater Hardness: 87.5 (min) to 89.0 (max) Rockwell “A” scale Transverse Rupture Strength: 350,000 to 428,000 PSI Each blade shall contain an approximate 1” length of carbide insert for each 1” length of blade.
