Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contract snow removal area includes an area generally located west of Thompson Road and north of Highway 19 and east of County Highway C to Bristol Street. In addition, north of Highway 151 and east from Bristol Street to city limits. The area includes residential and commercial industrial areas (refer to ATTACHMENT 1 for a map and list of streets and parking lots for specific locations). The scope of the work includes curb to curb clearing of public streets, including cul-de-sacs and parking lots. The contractor must report and begin clearing snow within 2 hours of being notified by a Public Works representative. The work does not include the spreading of de-icing chemicals, except for the list of contract parking lots that require de-icing materials. Generally, snow removal occurs on City streets, including within the contract area, when snowfall amounts are greater than two inchesin depth. Amountsless than two inches in depth are often handled by de-icing chemicals without contractor assistance.
