Athletics requires the services of a professional security company with no less than five years of actual experience in heavy security, crowd control, ticket taking, and usher services that can provide unarmed event security services for events such as football, basketball, hockey, concerts and other events hosted within Athletics operated facilities. The contracted security provider, hereinafter referred to as the “Contractor”, must demonstrate expertise in all areas of event security, safety, and protection with a proven track record of successful collaboration in previous partnerships with similar client profiles. The Contractor must be able to provide enough sufficiently trained personnel to fulfill the requested staffing needs for all events. For multiple events, required staff can exceed 100 employees. For Camp Randall Stadium events including football games, required staff can exceed 400 employees. Personnel are expected to conduct gate security screening checks by consent of the patron to prevent any prohibited items (as defined by the University) from entering the premises, while using a customer centric approach. Personnel also assist with ticketing, field perimeter security, access control to credentialed areas, Student Section observation and security, and other related duties as may be assigned. Services also shall be provided at athletic events, eCommencements, concerts, or any other University related events. The University and Contractor shall mutually agree prior to the start of the individual event what the actual number and type of staff needed is.
