2. Scope of Services Identified tasks/key deliverables for the project include the following: a. Advisory to the County Staff Project Team. b. Obtain the current effective data for the community, such as the flood hazard data shown in effective FIS reports and on effective FIRMs, and any other pertinent data. c. Conduct field surveys and reconnaissance to determine conditions along the floodplain at the specified sites, including obtaining channel and floodplain cross sections, identifying or establishing temporary or permanent benchmarks, and obtaining physical dimensions of hydraulic and flood control structures to comply with Chapter 26 of the Vernon County Code of Ordinances, Flood Zoning. d. Document proposed source of topographic data, scale, contour, interval source/methodology, vertical and horizontal datums, and comparison of planimetric features with the DFIRM base map. e. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for the specified sites within Vernon County to include calculation of peak flood discharge for specified percent-annual-chance storm events using two forms of hydrology models, and the hydraulics using HEC-RAS modeling. f. Three hard copies of the final report shall be provided to the County, including mapping exhibits, supporting calculations, and proposed revised maps for submission to FEMA for approval. g. Shapefiles of proposed revised map data shall be provided in the latest ESRI compatible ARCGIS format.
