Bureau of Land Management (BLM) High Desert District (HDD), Rawlins Field Office (RFO) is contracting to conduct Stand Exams on woodland survey units to describe vegetation in terms of stand structure and composition, density, basal area, stand volume, understory trees and vegetation and other site characteristics in woodland stands.
Location and Size of Project Areas: Project areas are located within BLM HDD RFO, located in South Central Wyoming. See Project Vicinity Map, showing the general area.
Stands to be surveyed can range in size from 2 to 400 acres and are split into 4 prioritized areas covering over 12,569 acres.
Priority 1: 1,893 acres
Priority 2: 3,730 acres
Priority 3: 1,322 acres
Priority 4: 5,624 acres
Stands are typically, Phase 2 and 3 woodlands. All stands may contain remnant large, old trees.
Environmental Conditions: Weather conditions may include snow and wet conditions which may lead to road closures. A Contractor may start in one area and be moved to another area should a closure occur. The performance time is wide enough to cover these circumstances.
Period of Performance: 15 August 2024 - 15 August 2026
