Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1. Desired Solar PV System Description LVE seeks a 1-MWAC ground-mount, fixed-tilt solar PV system to be installed and interconnected to LVE’s 12.47-kV distribution electric grid. The responding EPC company is expected to provide detailed information of the following major project components of the designed 1-MWAC solar PV power system. Please use the attached Appendix-A excel file template for this purpose. 1. Photovoltaic modules, Tier-1 PV modules with acceptable PV technology which include any Silicon-based cell materials (Monocrystalline-Si, Polycrystalline-Si, Amorphous-Si, HIT-Si, etc.), Heterojunction cell material, CdTe, CIGS etc. The PV module wattage is expected to be greater than 400 Watts at standard test conditions (STC). Both monofacial and bifacial PV module proposals are invited. 2. String Inverters, within the size range of 100 kVA and 250 kVA with an adjustable power factor are expected to be used for DC to AC power conversion. 3. Ground-mount, Fixed-tilt Ballast, or Non-Ballast Racking System with tilt angle greater than 20° is expected to be used for mounting the PV modules. Racking height should be sufficient so that snow shedding will not unduly cover the panels. The project site experiences an estimated average of 74” of snow per year. 4. Electrical Balance of System Components, including, but not limited to, DC and AC wiring, Stepup transformers, switch gear etc. should be from Tier-1 manufacturers.
