The following requirements shall be met to provide a hydraulicly controlled swing arm mower attachment for skid steer. The unit will be used for roadside brushing to include mowing grass, small trees, and tree branches to clear vegetation from the road shoulder and ditch.
- The mower attachment shall be equipped to attach to a CAT 259B3 Skid Steer
- The mower attachment shall have the capability to swing 90 degrees horizontally from the center line of the skid steer (straight forward to right side of skid steer)
- Nominal Reach (center of arm pivot to center of cutter shaft/driven motor): 96” (+/- 8”)
- Nominal Cut Width: 44” (+/- 6”)
- The mower deck shall have the capability to pivot vertically at the end of the swing arm.
- Pivot angle between swing arm and deck: 125 degrees from vertical (+/- 10 degrees)
- The mower shall have cutters that have the capability to pivot or break away when hard objects are contacted.
- The cutters shall be replaceable.
- The cutters shall be constructed of steel with high tensile strength, hardness, abrasion and wear-resistant properties.
- The hydraulic motor on the mower shall be sized for the appropriate pressure and flow rates of the specified skid steer.
- The option for a hydraulic motor that requires the need of a case drain is acceptable.
