Specifications include, but are not limited to: Teton County is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) in search of qualified professional engineers, architects and community planners that have expertise and experience in the field of bridge design and historical preservation for a feasibility study of repurposing a historical bridge, known as Swinging Bridge in Teton County, Wyoming. This bridge is on the the National Register of Historic Places and has the reached the end of its life and is slated for replacement. The new bridge has already been designed. The scope of work for this project includes preparing a study, report and cost opinions of the reuse of historical bridge structural elements at other locations, replication of suspension bridge aesthetic at the existing location in coordiantion with the proposed (already designed) bridge, and memorialization of the bridge at its current location.
