The Interior Alaska Natural Gas Utility (IGU), is issuing a request for proposal for LNG Transport Trailers that will haul liquified natural gas from Deadhorse, Alaska to Fairbanks, Alaska. These units may be purchased by IGU or Harvest Alaska, LLC in cooperation with IGU. IGU and Harvest are looking to maximize the payload, to the extent practicable, for each trailer to maximize efficiency. For weight estimating purposes, LNG calculations should be done with an LNG weight of 3.6 lbs./gal.'
Offerors should review the minimum requirement specifications of Attachment A and in their proposal be sure to detail any areas of improvement or deviation from the specifications in Attachment A and the associated cost difference (if any).
Offerors must also complete Attachment B LNG Transport Trailer Proposal Response and include it along with their proposal documents.
Successful offeror(s) will maximize payload at the lowest capital cost, while providing reliable, rugged, durable, and low-maintenance trailers.
This RFP includes 15 LNG Transport Trailers. We may consider additional units depending on the proposal responses received.
