NOTICE INVITING SEALED BIDS
2022/23 STREET REHABILITATION AND MAINTENANCE PROJECT PHASE 2
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
That the City Clerk, on behalf and as authorized by the City of Escondido, will accept sealed bids for the 2022/23 Street Rehabilitation and Maintenance Project Phase 2 (the “Project”). A sealed bid must be clearly marked with the name of the Project and time-stamped at the City Clerk’s Office, 201 N. Broadway, 2nd Floor, Escondido, CA 92025, on or before 3 p.m. on July 27, 2023, to be considered timely (“Submission Deadline”).

The Work shall generally consist of construction including:
The work consists generally of construction including: Traffic control and public convenience, survey services, removal and replacement of asphalt concrete pavement, application of street treatments (asphalt-rubber aggregate membrane [“ARAM”] and conventional slurry), removal and installation of street signs, application of street striping and thermoplastic markings, and compliance to all applicable storm water pollution prevention, including National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (“NPDES”) requirements.
This contract allows eighty-five (85) Working Days for completion of all work. Extension of terms or time of performance shall be subject to the CITY’s sole discretion. Ten (10) working days will be added to the contract working days with the award of Additive Alternate Area 1. Ten (10) additional working days will be added to the contract working days with the award of Additive Alternate Area 2.
The Engineer’s estimate of probable costs for base bid work to total project work (Base bid plus additive alternates) is between $6,000,000 to $6,100,000.
The Prime Contractor on this project shall have a Class A - General Engineering contractor’s license from the State of California. The Prime Contractor shall perform 51% or more of all contract Work.
