The City of Los Alamitos would like a consultant to provide the services listed below:

1. Bi-monthly in-person communication strategy meetings
2. Training and advisement, which includes:
   1. Best ways to handle difficult topics with the community.
   2. Best practices for dealing with transparency, timelines, key messages, and social media posts.
   3. Best practices for handling critical incidents, media-related issues, and crisis-communicated issues with a strong emphasis on transparency.
3. Help with news releases, social media posts, talking points, and press questions when an incident or situation occurs.
4. Keep the City up to date with best practices and platforms to engage the community.
5. Teach the social media team and general staff the latest trends in social media.
6. Teach Staff what type of content to look for, how to capture pictures and video, and how to write stories promoting community engagement.
7. Teach Staff how to voice-over videos
8. Help produce videos with the City videographer when requested.
9. Advisor availability 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
