The Coordinated Integrated Monitoring Program (CIMP) is a part of compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit Order No. R4-2012-0175 (Permit), which was adopted on November 8, 2012 by the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Board) and became effective December 28, 2012. Geographically, the CIMP covers the portion of the Upper Santa Clara River in Los Angeles County, Los Angeles County Flood Control District and the City of Santa Clarita that is regulated by the Permit. This Upper Santa Clara River area encompasses approximately 121,423 acres.
