The City requests proposals from qualified Contractors for installing new water service lines, water meters, meter boxes and lids on approximately 945 water services. Project entails removing and replacing of existing galvanized steel lines with new poly, installing water meter and boxes, and trench patch. In anticipation of material lead times, the City has purchased brass connection fittings that will be available for Contractor to review prior to ordering. City will also provide water meter and cellular endpoint.

The City of Shafter invites and will receive sealed bids up to but not later than 11:00 AM on Friday May 3rd, 2024 at the office of the City Engineer, located at 720 Commerce Way, Shafter, California 93263. At said time, Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Engineering Counter. Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after Bid oipening date.
