Description

The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space (District) is pleased to announce the opportunity to bid on the Bathtub Loop Drainage Upgrade Project. The project consists of reshaping and improving the drainage features of approximately 1.2 miles of existing ranch road that will later service pedestrians, bicyclists, and equestrians. The road is in poor condition due to deficient or non-existent drainage features in tandem with moderate vehicle and grazing usage. The scope of work shall include road shaping/grading for drainage elements and erosion control, subgrade preparation, placement and compaction of Class II aggregate base, installation of stabilization fabric, and installation of new ditch relief culverts.

ALL BIDDERS MUST ATTEND at least ONE site visit. The February 13th bid walk has been postponed to February 26th due to weather. The pre-bid walks are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on February 11th and 12:00 PM on February 26th. Mandatory Reservation Required: RSVP to Sean Yao at syao@openspace.org by 4:00 p.m. the day prior to receive directions to the meeting location and notice of any weather delays or changes. The mandatory pre-bid meeting will include a tour of the site. Tour participants should allow a minimum of two hours and should wear suitable footwear and appropriate dress for the open space conditions. Extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen conditions could cause the tour to be cancelled and re-scheduled. You will be sent an e-mail the afternoon before the pre-bid meeting if it is cancelled. The pre-bid meeting and site walk will take at least 2 hours, not including your travel time to arrive at the meeting location. The District will provide water, but attendees should bring their own food.

Bidders shall execute and submit the attached Bid Proposal form. Each Bid Proposal must give the full business address of the Bidder, and be signed by him/her. Bid Proposals by corporations must identify the legal name of the corporation, be signed by an authorized officer of the corporation, and include a corporate resolution conferring such authorization. Bid Proposals by partnerships must furnish the full name of all partners and must be signed by one of the partners. After the signature, the Bid Proposal shall designate the position of the person signing. The following forms are to be executed and submitted by Bidders with Bid. Bid Proposals must include the following:
