In general, the project consists of the demolition and replacement of the existing HVAC system in a portion of the basement in the Shasta County Mental Health Building at 2634 Breslauer Way, Redding, CA 96001. Work includes indoor ceiling cassettes, outdoor heat pump unit, a branch selector distribution box, and Energy Recovery Ventilator. The new HVAC system will be connected to the existing JCI system serving the facility. The electrical system will be upgraded to accommodate the new HVAC system.

County will conduct a pre-bid conference and site visit starting at 10:00 a.m., October 24, 2023. The meeting will be held at the project site at 2634 Breslauer Way, Redding, CA. Meet at the main public entrance on the west side of the Mental Health Building. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory. However, the bidder is required to sign that they have familiarized themselves with the local conditions including, but not limited to inspecting in and around the work areas.

The Department will receive bids until 11:00 a.m., on November 2, 2023, at the Shasta County Clerk of the Board, 1450 Court Street, Suite 308B, Redding, California 96001. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. The Department will open and publicly read the bids at the above address immediately after the specified closing time.
