RFQP-0000000001 - Feasibility Study for Seawater Extraction Barrier to Address Seawater Intrusion

The Board of Directors of the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (SVBGSA or "Agency") is requesting Statements of Qualifications and Proposals from qualified engineering consulting firms (Proposer) interested in providing consultant services to evaluate the feasibility of a potential extraction barrier well field project and brackish water treatment options near the northwestern area of the 180/400 Foot Aquifer Subbasin in the Salinas Valley in Monterey County. It is expected that the qualified firm will generally provide these services by evaluating options for locating and operating an extraction barrier well field(s) north of the Salinas River in the 180/400-Foot Subbasin Aquifer in the Salinas Valley groundwater basin. The qualified firm will further evaluate three alternative sized treatment plants based on proposed volumes for addressing seawater intrusion and for the potential to provide new source waters for brackish water treatment and reuse.
