Please see the official Notice of Inviting Bids on our Bid Opportunities webpage. The Project generally consists of removal of the existing 42-inch venturi flow meter and installation of a new 30-inch venturi flow meter and associated piping and appurtenances in a new underground precast concrete meter vault to measure effluent flow from the Robert A. Perdue water treatment plant’s clearwell. Work on the Project shall be completed within two hundred and seventy (270) calendar days, which includes a maximum seven (7)-calendar day period when the treatment plant may be shut down to accommodate the project.

Each and every Bidder must attend the Pre-Bid Conference. Prospective Bidders may not visit the Project Site outside of the Pre-Bid Conference. Bids will not be accepted from any Bidder who does not attend the Pre-Bid Conference.

Sweetwater Authority (“Authority”) will receive sealed Bids for the Clearwell Effluent Meter Replacement at the Robert A. Perdue Water Treatment Plant (“Project”) at the office of the Authority’s Engineering Department located at 505 Garrett Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91910 no later than Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 3:30 PM. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. The Bid opening will take place in the Assembly Room at the Richard A. Reynolds Desalination Facility located at 3066 N. Second Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91910 on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 4:00 PM, at which time or soon thereafter said Bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids shall be valid for sixty (60) Calendar Days after the Bid opening date.
