RFP-LE-2013-199 - 2013-199 Welby Road Realignment Engineering Design Services

Summary of Specifications:
Adams County is requesting proposals including cost of services from Professional Engineering Consultants for the design, construction specifications, construction documents, construction quantities estimate, and all necessary services as specified in this Request for Proposals for roadway improvements on Welby Road Extension, from E. 86th Avenue to E. 88th Avenue. The infrastructure improvements shall consist of the following:  1. The Consultant shall provide three (3) alternative alignments that avoid the irrigation ditch to the greatest extent possible and has the least environmental impacts within the general area. 2. Realignment and construction of Welby Road Exstension include new curb, gutter, and sidewalk associated with the newly aligned Welby. 3. Coordinate with City of Thornton on the signalized intersection and turn lane improvements at Welby Road Extension and E. 88th Avenue. 4. Design of local drainage for the street and impacted area. 5. New large vehicle access to Steele Street from the Encon Site. Recommended location of proposed access is to align with E. 84th Avenue at Steele Street.
