Summary of Specifications:
Adams County is required to perform and develop an ADA Transition Plan of its non-compliant facilities per the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The act requires local governments to modify policies, practices, and procedures to avoid discrimination against people with disabilities. The ADA Transition Plan will assist Adams County to identify policies and physical barriers to accessibility, and develop solutions that will facilitate access to all individuals. Adams County is accepting proposals from qualified firms for the preparation of an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan Of Public Right-of-Way in Unincorporated Adams County, Colorado. The County has invested in a computer program, software developed, and supported by Cartegraph, to manage its transportation assets. The County calls this program its Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS). The Contractor shall ensure that the data collected for the County’s pedestrian facilities in public right-of-way is incorporated and usable in the County’s TAMS.
