RFP-LE-2015-402 - 2015-402 HURON ST. & W. 62ND AVE. INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS

Summary of Specifications:
Huron Street and West 62nd Avenue are classified as Collector roads and are located within the limits of unincorporated Adams County. The project entails two T-intersections with poor sight distance and traffic circulation, failing subgrade and road pavement, and inadequate drainage infrastructure in the vicinity. In addition, Regional Transportation District (RTD) will be constructing Commuter Rail Station (Pecos Station) near the project site and is projecting to complete its construction in 2016. Traffic volume will increase once the Pecos Station open. The County anticipates improving the intersection to accommodate future needs. The project improvements are intended to increase safety, capacity, intersection enhancements, and drainage at the intersection. A project site vicinity map is included in the Appendix, Appendix A.
