Description

The Adams County Board of Commissioners by and through its Purchasing Department is accepting proposals for Professional Engineering Services for the Broadway and 62nd Avenue Drainage Improvements (Project).
Adams County and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) recognize the need to address the drainage challenges on Broadway Street Corridor between 58th Avenue and W. 64th Avenue (hereinafter referred to as the “Project”). The overall objective of this Project is to design and implement drainage improvments in the area using the guidance provided in the outfall systems plan for the entire area. In addition, a minor drainage system improvement plan needs to be developed to eliminate the flooding and/or standing water at the Broadway Street and West 62nd Avenue intersection. The Consultant will design a drainage system to achieve approvals from all affected entites. The affected entities include, but are not necessarily limited to: utility companies, business owners, property owners and CDOT. CDOT is currently working on a project to replace and upgrade the signal at this intersection. The Consultant will coordinate with CDOT to ensure the Project is in compliance with CDOT’s standards and specifications. Consultant shall secure written approvals from CDOT for any deviations from CDOT’s standards and specifications. Adams County will start a design project to widen 62nd Avenue between Huron Street and Washington Street. The classification for this section of roadway will be Collector. This roadway type will require 80-foot Right-of-Way. The Consultant will need to coordinate with this project team on the drainage design.
The following exhibits provide background information used to develop the Project’s current status. Consultant shall thoroughly review this information prior to submitting a proposal to determine if the information is adequate to complete the design and submit signed and sealed construction documents. Any information, or clarifications needed must be documented in writing at time questions are due to the Contract Specialist.

The scope of this contract will include, but is not limited to all consultation services needed to complete the design, obtain all necessary approvals, utility and environmental clearances. In addition, consultant shall provide an estimate of fees for support services anticipated during construction of the Project.
