JTH 2017.453 - Scour Critical and Structural REhab Project Riverdale Road over Todd Creek

This construction project is intended to rehabilitate the existing 35 foot long, two lane, steel girder bridge carrying Riverdale Road over Todd Creek.  The project site is located approximately 0.7 miles south of the intersection of Riverdale Road and State Highway 7.  The work includes, but is not limited to, replacing the corrugated steel abutment backwalls and wingwalls; replacing the abutment cap to pile welds; preparing and painting all steel (existing and new); replacing the existing steel plank and asphalt deck with a new composite reinforced concrete deck with waterproofing membrane and asphalt overlay; providing CDOT Type 10M bridge rails and W-beam approach guardrails; and reconstructing the asphalt roadway approaches.  Also included are construction traffic control for road closure and detour; stormwater management and erosion control; public information system; and obtaining all necessary permits.
