Summary of Specifications:
Arapahoe County (the “County”), is acting as agent for the City of Centennial (the “City”), for this project during the bidding process only. The work generally consists of, but not limited to, cleaning of streets to receive seal coat, application of slurry seal, removal of excess cover aggregate, and final clean-up after street has been sealed within incorporated areas of the City of Centennial.
Each bid shall be made on a form provided in the Contract Documents section of the Project Manual and no bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days from and after the date set for opening of bids. Each bid must be accompanied, in a sealed envelope, separate from the one containing the bid, by a bid bond on an approved form in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price, made payable to the City Council of City of Centennial, which shall be considered as liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the City if said bid is accepted and the bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents section within 10 calendar days after the acceptance of the contractor’s bid by the City.
