SOQ-04-53 - Vertical Control Surveys

Summary of Specifications:
Arapahoe County is in the process of updating its short list for surveyors for Vertical Control Surveys. In the past five years, the County has contracted for four (4) Vertical Control Surveys using high order conventional surveying methods. Each of these surveys has involved the establishment of 30 – 60 benchmarks at ½ mile intervals along County Roads in the eastern portion of the County. 

The contract(s) to be awarded with this new short list will be extensions of the benchmark loops established in the first four Vertical Control Surveys. The first contract will be a southeasterly extension towards the Town of Deer Trail. 

The schedule for the first contract has not been finalized, but it is anticipated that it will be awarded in August or September, 2004. For this type of work the County typically allows 6 months for delivery of the project once the Notice to Proceed has been issued.
