RFP-BJ-1211 - CHILDREN’S BOOKS

Summary of Specifications:
The Arapahoe Library District (ALD) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified, reliable vendors for the purchase of Children’s print books, including picture books, easy readers, junior fiction and non-fiction, and junior graphic novels. The successful vendor will also provide processing and cataloging for said materials. The annual budget for 2012 for children’s books is $280,000. In 2013, we anticipate the same volume of purchases and have a similar budget. 

Any contract or agreement placed as a result of this RFP authorizes but does not obligate ALD to order any minimum or maximum dollar amount or quantity of goods or services. 

We are seeking a one year contract with four possible one-year renewals. Continuation of the contract beyond the initial period is a prerogative of ALD and not a right of the vendor(s). Renewals will be made only when such continuation is clearly in the best interest of ALD.
