Summary of Specifications:
The Arapahoe Library District (ALD) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified, reliable Contractors to install a Photovoltaics Solar Array and complete a LED lighting retrofit at the Castlewood library. This will include the complete design of the systems, submittal and follow up of any applications with Xcel Energy for any available rebates, procurement of required permits as needed, and complete installation through and including start up of all systems. The approved Contractor will work closely with the appropriate ALD staff to help finalize the installation location of all solar equipment and to gain approval for all recommended LED lighting retrofit selections. The required project completion date is to be no later than November 30th, 2014. ALD intends to have completed the procurement process and issued a notice to proceed with the project by June 2nd, 2014. The Design-work may be divided into two phases: (1) the Photovoltaics Solar Array, and (2) the LED lighting retrofit, or combined into one project. During the Design Phase the approved vendor shall prepare such drawings as required to describe the work and to obtain the necessary permits. Such drawings shall be submitted to ALD for its review and approval prior to proceeding with installation. Vendors are invited to submit a proposal outlining their experience and qualifications in performing work directly related to the services outlined in this Request for Proposal. A list of referrals with examples of completed work is recommended.
