Summary of Specifications:
The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department (BCPOS) is seeking quotes for the following Volunteer Services Projects, which will be held in 2013, with exact dates and times to be determined:
• Seed Collection Crew Leader training class held in May or June • 15 native seed collection projects between June and November • Shoreline restoration at the Pella West property between March and May • Mediterranean Sage weed removal (prairie restoration) between May-June • Capacity Building
The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department (BCPOS) is also seeking qualifications for, including, but not limited to, the Volunteer Services Projects as described below: • Volunteer Recruitment • Volunteer Management • Crew Leader Training • Seed Collection • Habitat Restoration, including grassland and forest • Trail Building • Trail Maintenance • Riparian and Wetland Restoration, including pond shoreline restoration • Agriculture Projects • Technical Leadership from volunteers and staff • Project Completion
The purpose of this Proposal is to award specific projects and to prepare a pre-qualified list of Volunteer Service Providers to perform work on an as-needed, project-by-project basis. All awarded and pre-qualified contractors will be required to enter into a Continuing Services Contract, not to exceed $50,000.00, for all contractors under the Volunteer Services contract , for the 2013 contract year with an option to renew, in writing, for two additional years. The County retains the right to select more than one contractor. The contractor acknowledges that a Contract does not constitute a guarantee that contractor will receive any Projects or Work of any kind under this Contract, if selected, and in such event, a contractor would not receive any payment from the County.
Insurance requirements are addressed in the attached Sample Contract. All insurance requirements must be received and approved, by the County, prior to work commencing.
