Notice is hereby given that Boulder County will accept sealed bids for the Replacement of 2 AHU’s at the Boulder County Jail located at 3200 Airport Road, Boulder, CO 80301.
1. The Work consists of all permits (any taxes associated to the permits), labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, and incidental items as required for a complete job for the following items per project plans and specifications. Please refer to specification section 011100 for additional scope of work information.
Break-out BID Pricing Each Option: HVAC Upgrades – Procure and install the air handling equipment specified in each option. Include all: • Hoisting to the roof, locate, and placement on the roof structure per plan. o If rolling the equipment into place is required, provide all necessary materials and equipment to do so without damage to the roof system or components located on the roof. o If components on the roof require relocation (i.e. – PV panels, piping, and/or electrical conduit), coordinate these with BCBS so as not to affect schedule. • Ducting and hydronic piping as required for a full functioning system per plans and specs. • Duct & piping insulation. • Testing, adjusting, and balancing. • Work in this facility requires that all employees go through a criminal history check and badging prior to entering, after the award of contract.
This contractor shall exclude the work associated but coordinate all installations so as not to affect schedule: • With the Electrical and Controls scope, to be performed by Boulder County Building Services (BCBS). • CO2 sensors are by BCBS. • BCBS to perform all relocations of (E) roof equipment (not shown as part of the removal plans) wherever interferences occur with the HVAC installations. • All cutting, and patching of roofing, concrete or drywall required will be by BCBS
2. MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE & Job Walk will be held on March 15, 2016, 1:00 pm at the Project Site located at 3200 Airport Road, Boulder, CO 80301. BIDS FROM FIRMS NOT ATTENDING THE PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
3. Submittals are due in the Purchasing office or the email box (preferred) listed below, for time and date recording on or before 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time, March 24, 2016.
