Summary of Specifications:
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is being solicited on behalf of Boulder Regional Emergency Telephone Service Authority (BRETSA) by Boulder County. BRETSA is seeking replacement of its existing legacy environment and moving towards a Hyper-converged system. It should also be noted this is a two-step process. If Bidders proposed Hyper-converged solutions are deemed viable and in the best interest of BRETSA during this RFQ process, then only those highest scored Bidders would proceed to a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Those Bidders engaged in the RFP process would supply the costing, pricing, support, training and implementation of their Hyper-converged solution. The outcome of the RFP process would be the selection of a winning Bidder who would be selected to enter into contract negotiations’ to procure a Hyper-converged solution to BRETSA. If no Bidders are selected to proceed through this RFQ process then BRETSA may determine at its sole discretion if any RFP process would occur.
For this RFQ and RFP process, the County will be the Bidder’s contact and will handle all questions and responses to prospective Bidders. BRETSA will maintain ownership of all submitted proposals, information and proposed price data.
BRETSA is seeking bids from qualified Bidders who have experience serving State and local government markets, preferable public safety entities and who are located or have a presence in the Denver/Boulder metropolitan region. The Bidder should be experienced in installing and configuring enterprise level Hyper-converged solutions.
BRETSA’s objective in acquiring a Hyper-converged Hosted Environment is to provide the four local public safety-answering points (PSAPs) with a centralized storage and virtual hosting environment for their Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) application. The Hyper-converged solution will lower the total cost of ownership of both physical and virtual data storage in a high-availability, mission critical environment that offers flexible storage capacity and performance, robust fault tolerance, support of VMware, flexibility in supporting alternative SAN solutions with adaptability to operate in BRETSA’s current environment.
