The Boulder County Community Action Program is seeking qualified nonprofit human service agencies to implement the Getting Ahead Program within areas of the cities of Boulder, Longmont, and Lafayette.
Getting Ahead programming is a pre-requisite for enrollment into the Circles program.
The Getting Ahead curriculum, derived from economic, sociological, psychological, and behavioral research, focuses participants on developing long term personalized work plans that bring them toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency. During the 16-session curriculum, “investigators” examine the impact of poverty on themselves and the community and gain an understanding of the individual behavior, social capital, and community resources that can maximize household income.
This RFP for Getting Ahead is intended to ensure continued client recruitment for the Circles program. Potential Getting Ahead participants will be screened for both programs before being accepted into Getting Ahead.
Preference will be given to agencies that are willing to hire launched Circle Leaders. Boulder County Community Action maintains a list of launched Circle Leaders interested in facilitation and co-facilitation of Getting Ahead courses.
