Summary of Specifications:
Proposers are encouraged to bid on one, several, or all of the waste streams discussed in this RFP. Boulder County reserves the right to award one or multiple contractors, whichever is in the best interests of the county.
The contractor will collect consolidated household hazardous waste and CESQG waste from the County’s HMMF located at 1901c 63rd Street, Boulder, Colorado 80301. Due to stormwater requirements, hazardous waste shipments cannot occur at the HMMF when it is raining or snowing, and will have to be postponed or cancelled if precipitation occurs.
The contractor will use Appendix A to provide prices per container, or per pound (if container price is not available), or per box or per foot for fluorescent tubes. If an alternative packing method, disposal method, etc. is offered for a particular waste stream, then the proposer should add rows to the spreadsheet to describe these additional management options.
The contractor will provide Boulder County with labor and transportation costs on Appendix B. This appendix also lists the typical supplies that Boulder County’s contractor will provide at no additional cost. Costs for supplies will be built in to the contractor’s waste disposal cost. If the contractor is unable to provide supplies, or if only a limited number of supplies can be provided, or if additional supplies are offered, this should be detailed on Appendix B and discussed in the proposal narrative. The County will endeavor to request deliveries of supplies no more than twice per month.
