Purpose/Background
Boulder County Risk Management is accepting proposals from qualified vendors to provide Industrial Hygiene Services, including, but not limited to, consulting, data analysis, remediation, surveying and work plan development.
The purpose of this solicitation is to develop a list of one or more contractors to be assigned work on an as needed basis. Awarded/short listed contractors will be expected to enter into a one year continuing services contract with the option to renew for four additional one year periods. It is anticipated that as work is needed, awarded contractors will be contacted for specific job pricing and availability, therefore, the county cannot guarantee that any work will result from this Informal Request for Quote or an executed contract.
Boulder County has in excess of twenty buildings in which employees are working. All buildings have a potential to have some kind of an air quality issue. Boulder County has a Building Services and Risk Management staff that can and usually does track down air quality problems with no outside help. There is, however, an occasional problem that requires help from those who are experts in the field of air quality investigation. Boulder County is seeking a partner who can, when called in for these special problems, do a comprehensive investigation of the situation and recommend alternative solutions. The selected party will be able to prepare reports that can be understood by the average employee and can help educate affected employees on causality and mitigation alternatives.
