ITB-6320-15 - Longmont Dam Road Final Construction

Summary of Specifications:
The Boulder County Transportation Department seeks a qualified contractor to re-construct a portion of Longmont Dam Road. The Longmont Dam Road Project is a re-construction of approximately 1.56 miles of gravel road that was damaged in the 2013 flood. Along with the road project the county is including a stream restoration project on a portion of North St. Vrain Creek. The stream restoration project is upstream and in some area is adjacent to the road re-construction project limit. Stream restoration quantities are included with the road project. The creek restoration plans are still being developed, and will be provided after the contract has been awarded. A map of the expected restoration area is included as Exhibit A. Creek plans will be developed to approximately 30% design level. The County’s creek consultant will work directly with the contractor in a design/build approach, in accordance with Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) guidelines, to complete the creek improvements.
