Notice is hereby given that Boulder County will accept sealed bids for the GATE AND OPERATOR REPLACEMENT work at the Boulder County Nederland Road Maintenance Facility located at 286 Ridge Road 14th Street, Boulder, CO 80302.
1. The Work consists of all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, and incidental items as required for a complete job for the following items per project plans and specifications.
a. Remove and discard existing chain link steel frame gate and operator.
b. Furnish and install new aluminum framed cantilevered sliding gate with a 30 foot clear opening width per Specification Section 323140- Security Gate. See attached document.
c. Provide a gate operator, photo eye and loop detectors per Specification and Section 323150. See attached document.
d. Entry system card access by Boulder County. Provide two tier pedestals for mounting card access pads that will accommodate the heights of snowplow truck and a regular size vehicle.
e. Gate to be mounted on a minimum 4ea SS40 Posts and post to be mounted in two 24”x34”x 36” below grade 4,000PSI concrete footings.
f. Gate is to open towards the East. Currently the gate slides open towards the west.
g. Make necessary repairs as required to fencing on either side of entry to secure lot when gate is closed.
h. Exclude removal of asphalt. Existing asphalt across current opening and 34’ on either side of gate will be replaced by Boulder County Road Maintenance prior to gate install. Some regrading will be done to help level roadway across gate path.
i. Exclude line voltage power to gate operator.
j. Schedule. Gate installation must be completed by October 20, 2017.
2. Job Site Visit The site is open to the public and readily accessible. The prospective contractor is to visit site and include all items in their bid as required to complete project at this location. Failure to visit site will not be grounds for change orders.
