BACKGROUND:
The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department (BCPOS) is accepting bids from qualified contractor to construct up to three (3) trail/road crossings in the Niwot area. The project includes all site work in accordance with the designated plans and specifications. This project is partially funded through a grant from Colorado State Trails Fund. The project sites are all located in the Niwot Colorado area and include: One crossing at Niwot Road and Niwot Hills, a second crossing approximately a half mile north of Niwot Road on Overbrook Drive, and an add alternate crossing just north of Colorado State Highway 52 on Somerset Drive. The project plans/drawings, specifications, and bid tabulation sheet will serve as the scope of work for this project. Prospective bidders shall base their bids on these items. The successful bidder will have forty-five (45) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued to complete the work.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST:
Any party that has developed or drafted specifications, requirements, statements of work and/or has
participated in planning activities for this Project shall be excluded from consideration for the award of this Project.
PRE-BID MEETING:
A formal pre-bid meeting will not be held for this Project. If parties are interested in viewing the Project sites in Niwot, bidders may visit the site on their own. The locations are depicted in ATTACHMENT B, Construction Documents, and are as follows:
a. crossing at Niwot Road and Niwot Hills;
b. crossing approximately a half mile north of Niwot Road on Overbrook Drive;
c. and an add alternate crossing just north of Colorado State Highway 52 on Somerset Drive
