ITB-6441-16 - Recycle Center Fire Valve Repair

Summary of Specifications:
Notice is hereby given that Boulder County will accept sealed bids for Replacement of Dry Pipe Valves on the Fire protection system at the Boulder County Recycle Center located at 1901. E 63rd Street, Boulder, CO 80301. 

1. The Work consists of all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, and incidental items as required for a complete job of replacing all three of the existing dry pipe valves manufactured by the Victaulic Company, with pricing options as follows: 

Item #1: Replace Victaulic dry pipe valves with either Accelerator or Reliable brand valves similar to Reliable model DDX-LP. Include replacement of each shut off/ isolation valve located at each actuation valves. Modify pipe as required to fit new valves. 

Item #2: It is our understanding that the existing Victaulic brand dry pipe valves have a history of failure, are no longer produced and Victaulic may warranty or provide a reduced priced replacement for these underperforming valves. Provide a price to replace the existing dry pipe valves with new Victaulic brand valves.
