Summary of Specifications:
BACKGROUND FOR PROJECT The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to remove Russian Olive (RO) trees from twelve (12) open space properties. Russian Olives were officially added to the state’s “noxious weed” list as of January 1, 2003.
The County retains the right to select more than one contractor. The selected contractor(s) will be required to enter into a Continuing Services Contract, for the current year with an option to renew, in writing, for four additional years. The Contractor acknowledges that a Contract does not constitute a guarantee that Contractor will receive any Projects or Work of any kind under this Contract, if selected, and in such event, Contractor would not receive any payment from County. It is anticipated that qualified contractors may be requested on an as-needed basis to visit a project site and submit quotes for individual projects.
Insurance requirements are addressed in the attached Sample Contract. All insurance requirements must be received and approved, by the County, prior to work commencing.
Specifications and a sample contract are attached.
