Description

The Chaffee County Road and Bridge Department is soliciting bids for a contractor to furnish and install rock support, reinforcement and accessories, including but not limited to the permanent rock support for the four existing Chaffee County Road 371 Tunnels. Rock reinforcement to include rock bolts, rock dowels, rock anchors, welded wire fabric, mine straps, and associated miscellaneous rock support elements.

The installation of permanent rock reinforcement and support systems is intended to ensure the long-term stability of an excavation for the series of tunnels on County Road 371 in Chaffee County. The extent of rock reinforcement or support systems cannot be fully determined until the scaling work has been performed to expose the final rock surfaces.
