15-ST-30 RFP - RFP Design & Plans Ralston Rd Reconstruction-Upham St to Yukon St

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Arvada (“Arvada”) desires to design and reconstruct Ralston Road (aka W. 58th Avenue) from Upham Street to Yukon Street. Ralston Road is an east-west arterial roadway through the City's historic Olde Town area and will provide access and connections to the Olde Town Gold Line commuter rail station. Ralston Road is a four lane arterial road with narrow travel lanes and narrow attached sidewalks that create an uncomfortable experience for the travelling public. The City completed a Ralston Road Corridor Plan in 2011 and recently completed a Conceptual Engineering Study in 2014. The Conceptual Engineering Study outlines the City’s vision for the corridor and identified impacts to individual properties that have been presented to the property owners. As noted in the Scope of Work, the typical section for Ralston Road is proposed to be 58 feet flowline to flowline width, with either 8 foot wide detached or 10 foot wide attached sidewalks. Right-of-way acquisition will be required from several properties.
