2022-309 - Maroon Creek Penstock Lining Project

There are two separate bid schedules for this project.  The Bidder shall submit a bid for each schedule.  The Bidder’s proposal shall specify a unit bid price for each pay item in all bid schedules.  Failure to include unit bid prices for each bid item in all bid schedules shall be cause for rejection of the Bidder’s proposal.  If a bidder does not bid on all schedules, his bids will be rejected and set aside.  The schedules for this project are as follows:
Base Bid Schedule: The work consists of the installation of 39” diameter ultraviolet-light cured-in-place pipe and 27” diameter ultraviolet-light cured-in-place pipe, the installation of 96” diameter manholes with man-access points and all necessary end seals and appurtenances, and the installation of 42” diameter steel pipe installed via open trench methods across Maroon Creek.
Alternate Bid Schedule: The work consists of the installation of Weko-Seals in lieu of the ultraviolet-light cured-in-place pipe installation. The Alternate Bid Schedule will still include the fifteen 96” manholes with all necessary end seals and appurtenances, the installation of 42” diameter steel pipe, and all other work outlined in the Bid Proposal form.
Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security to include a bid bond or certified check made payable to the City of Aspen in the amount of 5% percent of the Bid. The Bid Security accompanying the three lowest responsive and responsible bids may be held until the Contract is awarded. The Bid Security accompanying the other proposals shall be returned promptly after the bid prices have been compared and evaluated.
