Summary of Specifications:
The work performed under this contract comprises: Tennis and Basketball Court Asphalt Overlay Project: includes the cleaning of all existing surfaces, removal of existing grass/weeds from all cracks, application of CSS-1 tack coat, fill-in of all 1 inch or wider surfaces cracks with hot mix asphalt and compact to meet surrounding grade. Fill-in of all ¼ -inch to 1-inch surface cracks wide with ASTM d-34055 rubberized crack sealant (compound/sealant must meet all federal specifications). Place minimum width of 12 feet petromat material over the entire court surface prior to paving and overlay with a 2” lift of 3/8” aggregate compacted asphalt. Bike Trail Asphalt Overlay Project: includes the cleaning of all existing surfaces, removal of existing grass/weeds from all cracks in path/trail, removal of all existing grass/weeds that have developed around the edges of the path/trail, sterilization of all weed areas, application of CSS-1 tack oil to all edges, placement of hot (mix) asphalt 3-inch depth/thickness to all edges and compact to meet original grade, application of CSS-1 tack coating, install a minimum width of 8 feet petromat material prior to paving and application of 2-inch depth/thickness overlay of ½-inch compact hot (mix) asphalt to meet existing grade.
