Description

The 24” diameter pipeline in Airport Boulevard between E Alameda Parkway & E 6th Ave, was constructed in 1978-1979 from ductile iron pipe (DIP) material and is integral to providing potable water to significant residential (Buckley housing) and commercial (Raytheon) customers. Notably, the segment supporting Buckley housing lacks redundancy, which would lead to substantial water outages in case of a pipe failure. This project addresses redundancy deficiencies by installing a new isolation valve and conducts a high-resolution condition assessment of approximately 2,400 feet of this pipeline.
